EA and Dice have today announced that Battlefield 1, like its predecessors before it, will be getting a Premium Pass. Think of it as a season pass, but much better value for money.
Players who purchase the Premium Pass will be provided with four map packs as well as a host of extra content including two weeks of early access to the new map packs when they launch; starting with the ‘They Shall Not Pass’ add-on in March 2017 which will bring the French Army into the multiplayer mode. A full list of what is to be expected can be found below.
Two-week early access to each expansion pack
Play as new armies including France in Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass, and the Russian Empire in an upcoming expansion pack
16 new multiplayer maps
New Operations and game modes for more ways to play
New Elite classes
20 new weapons
14 Battlefield 1 Battlepacks containing stand-out weapon skins, delivered monthly from November 2016
14 unique dog tags distributed over the course of the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass period
Battlefield 1 looks like it is shaping up to the be the most definitive shooter of the year. We’ll soon find out as it launches on the 21st of October on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC through EA’s very own Origin service. Players who pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition can start playing three days early on the 18th of October.
