On the 17th of March at SXSW in Austin, Texas (USA) attendees will be the first in the world to crowd play an early version of the first episode at a one-of-a-kind premiere event at the Paramount Theater. Using their smartphones, audience members will be able to help influence what choices are made.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will feature a number of talented voice actors, including Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series) as Star-Lord, Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor) as Gamora, Nolan North (the Uncharted series, Pretty Little Liars) as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax, and Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us, League of Legends) as Groot.
In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.
The first episode in the series will premiere in the Spring of this year as a digital download as well as a physical season pass disc which will allow access to the remaining four episodes as they become available.
At the moment, Telltale has not confirmed which platforms the episodic series will released on, but until then, enjoy some cool in-game screenshots below.
