On the back of last night’s ARMS Direct from Nintendo, the company has released a new trailer for Splatoon 2 which showcases the game’s single-player mode. In addition, two now JoyCon colours have been revealed along with aSplatoon themed Pro Controller.
Nintendo has announced that two new JoyCon colours will be made available alongside the release of Splatoon 2 keeping in theme with the games promotional colours: Green and Pink. In addition, players will also be able to pick up a similarly themed Pro Controller as well as a Nintendo Switch Carrying Case. A limited edition Nintendo Switch Console bundle will also be available on launch that comes with the game and the neon blue and red JoyCons.
The new hardware looks pretty cool; the green and pink go well together. If you’re interested in picking any of this gear up, you can do so from the 21st of July 2017 – Though you will need to wait until the Autumn of this year to get the new JoyCons.
The new trailer, which was shown at the end of the ARMS direct, shows off the game’s single-player mode. Callie is abducted and held prisoner in the Octarians’ underground base. The player is tasked to search for Callie through a number of trap ladened levels using a number of different weapons to help overcome the obstacles, defeat enemies and take down bosses.
New hardware colours aside – I’m tempted by the Splatoon 2 themed carry case – we can’t wait for Splatoon 2’2 release date. Splatoon 2 is due for release on the Nintendo Switch on the 21st of July. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
