Maximum Games and Spiral House have today announced that Troll and I will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch in August this year.

Troll and I take players on an adventure through the Scandinavian forest of wilds. Take control of either Otto, a nimble adolescent or the powerful Troll. The game can be played solo or with a friend in local co-op as players tackle the Nordic wilderness as well as various enemies.

“Troll and I is the perfect first entry for us into the Nintendo Switch system,” said Christina Seelye, CEO of Maximum Games. “The cooperative gameplay lends itself perfectly to the local co-op features of the platform, where two friends can work together to battle the challenges they face as a team.”

Troll and I was first released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC back in March; these versions will be getting a major patch update on the 21st of July, implementing the bellow changes. The Nintendo Switch version will also include this patch when it launches.

  • The addition of a mini-map
  • Additional checkpoints
  • Easy, Normal and Hard difficulty settings
  • Increased crafting speed
  • New tutorials
  • Additional text hints
  • Increased resources for crafting and survivability
  • Overall balance improvements

Troll and I releases on the 15th of August for the Nintendo Switch and will retail at £24.99 while the patch for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version will be released on the 21st of July.
