Capcom has to revealed that hit courtroom simulator Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS later this year; meaning that all six mainline Ace Attorney games will be playable on the same system.
For those unfamiliar with Apollo Justice, this game takes place years after the main series featuring the spiky haired Phoenix Wright. Apollo is a fresh defence attorney making a name for himself by defending innocent clients accused of murder. Apollo joins up with the now disbarred Phoenix Wright and his adopted daughter Trucy to solve a number of quirky cases using forensic techniques and Apollo’s magic bracelet.
This re-release of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney will feature upgraded 3D visuals as well as including the original Japanese release of the game allowing players to switch between the English and Japanese versions if they so please; Capcom has announced that keen eyed players will notice some differences between background signs and art in the game, most likely due to localisation. In addition, the company has confirmed that there will be a text skip option available from the start of the game. A handy feature to skip some of the more text heavy sections if you’ve played the game before.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is due for release on the Nintendo 3DS later this year in November in Europe and North America through the Nintendo eShop. As a big fan of the Phoenix Wright series, I’m pretty excited for this release. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
