The Pokémon Company has confirmed that the rumoured Rainbow Team Rocket are indeed real and made up of villains from the series and led by none other than Giovanni himself.

Returning to the series after last being seen in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, Giovanni reprises his role as the leader of Team Rainbow Rocket, made up of villains from previous games, complete with Mewtwo at his side.

It has also been confirmed that all Legendary Pokémon will appear in Ultra Suna and Moon and much like in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire some of them won’t appear until certain criteria have been met. Some will also be version exclusives; Ho-Oh, Raikou, Groudon, Latios, Dialga, Heatran, Reshiram, Tornadus and Xerneas will be obtainable in Ultra sun, while Lugia, Entei, Kyogre, Latias, Palkia, Regigigas, Zekrom, Thundurus and Yveltal can only be caught in Ultra Moon.

The Pokémon Company also provided some more information on the new Battle Agency; a place where trainers can rent powerful Pokémon to try and defeat the three Pokémon in their opponent’s team.

The Battle Agency is a new facility in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon where players can easily rent powerful Pokémon for battling. When players don sunglasses and become an agent at this facility, they can take part in Single Battles using rental Pokémon. They’ll have three such Pokémon to command as they try to defeat the three Pokémon in their opponent’s team. The goal: try to win their way to being the best of all the agents! As players progress through battles, they can receive cool items such as Gold Bottle Caps. The variety of Pokémon that can be rented for these battles increases as players mingle with other players locally or on the internet. By connecting with strong Trainers, players will be able to rent powerful Pokémon to use in battle

Lastly, trainers will also be able to collect stickers called Totem Stickers which can be used to allow players to obtain totem-like Pokémon.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon are due for release on the 17th of November 2017 on the Nintendo 3DS family of consoles. Let us know what you think of the news in the comments below!
