Capcom has today announced a new game in the main series of popular Mega Man titles due for release later next year to celebrate the franchises 30th anniversary.
The series takes a jump forward in terms of visuals, leaving the pixel era behind and reinventing itself with beautifully hand-drawn 2.5D characters and environments. In Mega Man 11 our favourite blue android takes on Dr Wily and his crazy machines, as well as defeating the Robot Masters and relieving them of their weaponry. More information on Mega Man 11 will be released mid-2018.
Capcom has also confirmed that along with the announcement of Mega Maan 11, all current numbered games in the series will be making their way to the Nintendo Switch in the Spring next year in the form of Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. The first collection, which includes the original six 8-bit games, will also include a rewind function to allow players to go back and undo past blunders. This feature will be added to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game for current owners.
Finally, all eight games from the Mega Man X series will be making their way to the Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in the Summer of 2018.
While that information is digesting take a look at the anniversary trailer below and let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
