With only 21 days until the release of Monster Hunter: World (I’m not counting!), Capcom has announced a few new details about the upcoming game with an accompanying trailer.

Returning to the series are a few fan favourite Elder Dragons including the Kushala Daor, a beast with metal plates for skin and the ability to generate high wind storms to keep hunters away, the Teostra; a dragon that looks like it belongs in the pits of Hell and the Dodogama, newly introduced in this trailer. The Dodogama spits a unique blend of chemicals at rocks which makes them explode!

In addition to the trailer, Capcom has confirmed that the final beta will begin in Europ on the 19th of January and run through until the 22nd of January. The previously released quests to hunt the Great Jagras, Anjanath and Barroth will return along with a new quest to hunt the game’s big bad, the Nergigante.

If that isn’t enough, Capcom has also promised to support the game post-launch with regular content updates for free. The first of these updates is slated for a Spring 2018 release and will see the return of the dreaded Deviljho!

Monster Hunter: World is due for a worldwide release on the 26th of January on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with the PC release coming later in the year.
