[Rumour] Could this be What the Nintendo Switch's Next Firmware Update has to Offer?
Author: Sam Tree | Posted: 6 January 2018, 12:42

In a video recently released online allegedly shows an unknown user showing off some of the upcoming features for firmware version 5.0 on the Nintendo Switch.

While at this moment this should be taken with a huge grain of salt, the video looks pretty promising.

The user, known only as NOATEST063, shows off a few new features of the supposed firmware upgrade. The user can be seen sorting icons o the home screen, showing a new folder creation option as well as showcasing a new Online Lounge feature where, presumably, players will be able to join friends playing online games.

In the settings menu, a cloud storage option can be seen which could indicate a release alongside Nintendo’s paid online service as well as a Breath of the Wild theme and a Theme Shop icon. The home menu also seems to sport icons of popular streaming apps which has also excited a number of users.

At the moment it’s unclear whether or not this is a true leak or a very convincing fake, but until Nintendo say otherwise treat it as a rumour. You can check out the video below.
