Originally released on the PlayStation 2 back in February 2005, The Legend of Kay has been revived more times than Jean Grey.

Over the years the title has been released on various consoles, including the Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PC under the name of The Legend of Kay Anniversary Edition. THQ Nordic has now confirmed that the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.

The Legend of Kay Anniversary Edition will be fully remastered and will include high-res textures and detailed character models as well as modern rendering techniques and crystal clear audio quality to bring the game up to today’s standards, or as close as a remaster can get.

The Anniversary Edition will feature

  • 25 different levels with over 15 enemy types and epic boss battles.
  • 3 different primary weapons (sword/hammer/claws) with distinct combat styles.
  • Various mini-games such as wild boar racing, dragon flying and wolf riding.
  • Online rankings: compare your score with your friends’ and compete against the best in the world.
