Team Xecuter Unvails their Nintendo Switch Mod Device

In an email sent out today Team Xecuter has finally released information about their Nintendo Switch mod device which they original teased back in January.

It looks like the team are using the same exploit in the NVIDIA chip that was discovered by the homebrew scene, using the same method to short pins number 1 and 10 on the right JoyCon rail to take control over the console’s boot process.

While not much is given in the video, it’s clear that Team Xecuter’s custom firmware will include the ability to run backups from the memory card or built-in storage.

The team has stated they will be taking pre-orders by the end of the week. I hope for the Switch’s sake they’re not too commonplace.
