Assassin's Creed: Odyssey Gamescom Character Trailers

Fresh from Gamescom, Ubisoft has released two trailers featuring the game’s two assassins. The agile but deadly Kassandra and brutish Alexios.

Set in ancient Greece, circa 431BCE during the hight of the Peloponnesian War, fought between Sparta and Athens, players can take control of either Kassandra or Alexios in order to take down the Cult of Kosmos – I’m guessing the new term for ancient Templars? – a group lurking in the shadows using their influence to manipulate the leaders of Greece.

Ubisoft has confirmed that players will encounter legendary beasts inspired by Herculean myths such as the Nemean Lion – which sports impenetrable golden fur and the mother of the Arcadians herself, Kallisto, a giant bear. Much like Assassin’s Creed Origins players will also have the chance to face off against some of Ancient Greece’s big-bads, like Medusa.

The two new trailers can be found below, focusing on the two new protagonists: Alexios and Kassandra. We’ve also attached some new screenshots for your viewing pleasure. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is due for worldwide release on the 5th of October 2018 on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 family of consoles as well as PC. Players who opt to pre-order the Gold Edition, Digital Ultimate Edition, Medusa Edition, Spartan Edition or Pantheon Edition of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey before the 2nd of October 2018 will have the opportunity to play the game up to three days earlier.
