New Pokémon Let's Go Trailer Shows How Pokémon GO Integration Works

A new trailer on the Japanese Pokémon YouTube Channel gives us an idea of how the Pokémon Let’s Go games will interact with Pokémon GO on mobile devices.

By entering a special area players will be able to choose the Pokémon they want to transfer. Selecting them on the mobile app and then connecting to the Nintendo Switch through – presumably – Bluetooth or WiFi, sending the creatures over to the hybrid console.

Much like previous generations of the Pokémon franchise, players will then need to recapture their monsters in a mini-game segment before adding them to their team. We also get a look at how awesome Dragonite looks as your ride Pokémon!

The trailer also highlights how legendary battles will work; at least where the legendary birds are concerned. Players will need to use their team to reduce the birds to zero HP before engaging in a catch sequence with them, much like how raids work on Pokémon GO at the moment but with the ability to go solo.

If you’re not excited enough, you will be once you’ve seen the trailer. It’s below, by the way.

Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee are due for release on the Nintendo Switch on the 16th of November 2018. Don’t forget it’s not too late to pre-order the limited edition Nintendo Switch.

Let us know which version you’ll be picking up in the comments below.
