Last year GRIN Studios successfully secured funding for their cinematic fable: Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries. A steampunk style 2.5D side scroller featuring a grown up version of Red Riding Hood.

The parent-less young woman is out for vengeance against the owner of the nefarious Woolfe company. Armed with her trusty axe she will have to run, jump, hack and slash her way to finding out the truth behind her fathers death.

The game releases today on Steam’s early access but will officially release for PC on March the 17th 2015. You can catch the stunning trailer below.

“The team at GRIN’s has been working hard on the game and we’re looking forward to receiving valuable player feedback through Early Access so that we can deliver an exciting experience that Red would be proud of.” said GRIN’s founder and CEO Wim Wouters.

Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries is the first of two volumes to be released. They will both act as stand-alone games but the second will follow on from the first. Volume one is due for full release on the 17th of March 2015 where Volume two is due to be release in August this year. Additionally, it will be making its way to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.

Keep an eye out for our review later this week.
