The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle is a comedy point and click adventure game that debuted earlier this year in April with Episode 1: A Dreadly Business. The game has received great reviews, and thus, Bristol based developer Rumpus Animation has taken to Kickstarter to help fund the second episode.
The game is about Bertram Fiddle, the world's self proclaimed leading Victorian explorator. Once more Bertram and Gavin, his trusty man servant, find themselves in a bit of a pickle. Having previously wandered the murky and mysterious streets and alleyways of Old London Town, completing crazy conundrums, Bertram came so close to capturing the elusive serial killer known only as Geoff the Murderer. But now he must delve deeper into quirky Victorian London, meeting strange new characters and visiting brand new locations to finally uncover the true identity of that dastardly villain, Geoff!
The first episode was a success, but in order to finish the story, the team at Rumpus Animation needs help. At the time of writing the Kickstarter campaign has reached £9,510 of it’s £25,000 goal; with 21 days to go it’s looking promising.
The first episode took around £50,000 to complete, but this time around Rumpus Animation are better prepared. They’ve written the story, they’ve started building new characters and they’re working with German developer Deck13 from the get go to make sure episode 2 is “bigger and better and more puzzlier than the first”
If you’re interested in funding the second episode, check out the Kickstarter page here or you can find out more about the game and Rumpus Animation at the official website here.
Of course, if you want to give the first episode a go, you can purchase it through Steam and iTunes
With all going well, The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle Episode 2 “A Bleaker Predicklement” is due to be released on PC, Mac, iOS and Android in September 2016.
